The Yellow Door Carousel Day – Thursday 26th January
The Yellow Door are a local charity that has been supporting young people in Castle Point for over 30 years. They offer a range of free services and activities focusing on young people’s health and well-being. The services include one-to-one advice, information, and support, counselling and mentoring, small well-being groups for social skills and anxiety. Activities include a performing arts group, a youth club, a youth group for quieter young people and a sports club. They also work with young people through detached and outreach work and offer educational workshops on substance misuse issues.
On Thursday 26th January, The Yellow Door visited The Cornelius Vermuyden School, for a Carousel Day and met with students from Years 7-11. This was a great opportunity for our students to find out more about what they do and how they can potentially support in the coming years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and carers who also attended the session for them after school where they spoke to the Yellow Door workers and had the opportunity to ask questions and become more aware of the services.
