Year 11 Prom 2018

On Friday evening June 22nd, 130 of the most stylish students in the whole of Essex joined 46 members of the Cornelius staff at the sumptuous Three Rivers Country Club in Cold Norton to celebrate one of the most eagerly awaited social events of the year – the Year 11 Prom 2018

Blessed with beautiful weather, it was impossible not to be impressed, not only by the stunning surroundings, the wonderful and diverse attire of the Year 11s who shimmied down the red carpet with all the aplomb of Hollywood royalty, but also by the magnificent array of carriages which were used to transport them to the venue – sleek limousines, Disco buses, Harley Davidson bikes, vintage cars and camper vans, a Fire Engine – to name but a few.

The atmosphere in the hall was electric from the start, with everyone joining in the party spirit. The evening began with the walk on the red carpet and a chance to compare outfits and take photographs. Later a lovely three course meal was served, before the dance floor rapidly filled up as the disco started.

Amongst all this activity we all had the opportunity to vote for the Prom King and Queen 2018, and needless to say the winners were warmly applauded. Congratulations to Prom King, Kaan Salih and Prom Queen, Daisy Knowland.

Alas all good things must come to an end, and eventually the limos returned to whisk the students back to Canvey at the end of a fabulous, fun filled evening.
