On Thursday 15th September, in the Library, the Year 7 pupils who passed the High Achieving Bursary exam received their awards. Pupils, parents and carers were invited to an awards ceremony attended by Mrs Skewes, Mr Hockey, Mrs Halpin and Mr Keenan. Mr Knowland delivered information about ‘The Brilliant Club’ scheme and students were awarded their vouchers by Mr Keenan, before moving into the hall for formal pictures.
I am very proud of this cohort and congratulate the students for their achievements and for their positive start to their time at Cornelius Vermuyden. It is very clear that we have a very able group of pupils, and from speaking to them, they are involving themselves in all the enrichment activities that the school has to offer after school; this will undoubtedly improve them as learners in all areas of the school.
Congratulations to all pupils who received the Bursary.
