Nathan Barlow - Year 9

Nathan joined the school from Canvey Junior and is one of the most extraordinary pupils you will ever meet. He always produces outstanding work over and above what is required and, although only in Year 9, his target grades and professional predictions indicate he is going to achieve extremely highly in Mathematics, English, Citizenship, History, ICT, and Drama. Nathan is a valued member of our community who helps out with events such as the Children’s University and with teaching other pupils. Since joining Cornelius Vermuyden School from William Read Primary School, Charlotte has always set her sights high and her academic successes across all subjects are a reflection of this. Her current high grades in English, History and Sports Studies represent her ambition and drive to achieve and she has also represented the school in various sports, including trampolining, where she has won awards at local, regional, national, and international level. Her outstanding commitment to her studies and extra-curricular activities is admirable.

Megan Shearman – Year 11

Megan has shown a relentless drive to succeed ever since she joined from William Read Primary School. She is currently making exceptional progress in her GCSE studies and Megan is the highest achieving student in the school’s Progress 8 League table – she has held that position for the whole academic year. In the summer Public Examinations, it is predicted that she will achieve 10 GCSE grades at A*-C and this dedication is also reflected in her general conduct and approach. Megan is a credit to her Year Group and always represents the school with pride.
