Governors
Cornelius Vermuyden School is governed by a newly appointed Local Governing Body from 1 June 2026.
The Governing Body works in a strategic decision-making capacity and ensures accountability across the school.
The board has three core responsibilities:
- Setting the vision, ethos and strategic direction for the school
- Holding school leaders to account for the educational attainment of pupils
- Overseeing financial resources and ensuring they are spent effectively
Local Governing Body
The Local Governing Body includes trust governors, staff governors, parent governors and the headteacher. Each governor serves a 4 year term of office with the exception of staff governors who serve a 3 year term of office, and the Headteacher who always has a position on the Local Governing Body.
