Year 9 French Trip to Cambridge University

January 16, 2019

On Monday 14th January, Mr Walding and 10 lucky and hardworking Year 9 French students were given the free opportunity to spend the day at Cambridge University (Magdalene College) under the heading ‘Why not languages at GCSE and beyond’ where students from 10 different schools around the country had to consider the importance of language skills to their future academic and personal progress.

They experienced a university-style French lesson as well as a taster session in Mandarin and Portuguese. Our students also got to meet current university language students who talked about what it is like to study a language at Cambridge as well as a great Q and A session at the end.
