Sports Day 2018

On Friday 13th, despite being a superstitious date, the sun was shining and Cornelius PE Department were excited to run their annual Sports Day.

The first half of the day began with the field events being completed by each individual year group and there were many outstanding performances in all events! At 12.10pm the whole school came out to the field house by house and were treated to Mr Coates as our resident DJ playing the tunes for their arrival! All students were fantastic on the track especially in the hot conditions the day gave us and many managed to cool down by paying a visit to Mr Scoopy and his fabulous ice cream collection! A massive thank you to all the staff involved in helping Sports Day be a fantastic success and a special well done to Einstein House who managed to win sports day for the second year running!

Sports day is the last of many sports competitions that are held all year for our five Houses to compete in. A special well done to the Darwin House who were crowned the Overall House Sports Championship winners for 2018. We look forward to next years competitors starting again in September.
