Operation Sceptre

Cornelius Vermuyden
March 12, 2019

As part of the national knife prevention week and our continued partnership with the local community and Essex Police, we have the pleasure of welcoming some of the local police force this afternoon to Cornelius Vermuyden School. They have spent some time educating our students on the consequences of knife crime and have even brought in a knife arch to show the students one of the ways they are tackling the issue across the country. There will be activities taking place in school all this week to raise awareness.

On Monday 11th March, the police visited Castle View in the morning, with Mr Hockey and some of the Cornelius students. Furthermore, Mr Steve Durkin (Headteacher of Castle View) joined us with student representatives from his school to demonstrate that both schools are committed to working more closely with each other to tackle key issues collectively.

A big thank you to everyone that was involved.
