LGBT+ History Month

LGBT+ History Month is an annual celebration that provides education and insight into the issues that the LGBT+ community faces. The aim of LGBT+ History Month is to teach our young people about the history of the gay rights movement and to promote an inclusive modern society. To celebrate the start of LGBT+ History Month, we spent last week in assemblies looking at all of our LGBT+ heroes, and the impact of our words when referring to people in the LGBT+ community. Importantly we all took a moment to celebrate those LGBT+ heroes in our friendship groups, families, and Canvey Island.
