Lake District 2018

Sarah Nolan Head of Year 11
October 29, 2018

The students had to hike into the mountains; camp overnight; climb through underground tunnels and map them out; canoe down a lake, a river and over a weir; build a raft and sail it into the lake; rock climb; dive in to the lake at night etc.

While doing this they were encouraged to reflect on their effort levels, their communication skills, their comfort/stretch zones and their goal setting. They also had to write their very own SMART action plans which outlined the skills they had learned and how they were going to transfer them into their lives back home, at school and further afield.
